Who
We Help!
CPA’s
goal is to maintain a grant process that is professional
and objective, but does not create a major administrative
burden for applicants and recipients. In making grant
decisions, CPA will focus on a core set of attributes:
Grant
requests for a specific and measurable project, particularly
those that target improvements in business infrastructure
or otherwise achieving sustained improvements. All grant
funds received should be used within one year from receipt.
Nonprofits that are able and willing to be passionate
and motivated partners in participating in our events.
Nonprofits that provide support for under-privileged
youths or families, with a primary focus on health,
education, and welfare.
Programs that provide a secondary focus on promoting
cultural diversity, and/or access to and appreciation
of music and the arts.
Nonprofits that are unique to Austin and have a significant
impact on their clientele. Particularly those who may
have difficulty attracting funds from larger sources
such as governments, corporations, or foundations.
Nonprofits
that are established and have a current impact on their
local community, versus a group in "start-up"
mode. Attributes of a well-established organization
typically include:
- Leaders
in achieving their mission for their targeted clientele.
-
Financially stable with a sustainable business model,
and a high level of leadership and competence among
key staff members.
-
Understand the importance of building internal organizational
capacity in order to achieve their missions, and demonstrate
a long-term vision for their organizations’
programs and infrastructure.
-
Are committed to using outcomes measurement and evaluation
to provide the most effective programs possible.
See
Grant Requests
for full details of the grant process.
