Serve
on the Board of Directors
Board
members are involved at the highest level in the governance
and strategic planning of the organization, and play
the most critical role in our long-term success. CPA
maintains a high standard of expectations for participation
of board members. These expectations include:
-
A minimum two-year commitment of service. CPA maintains
a 3/1 policy: board members may serve for a maximum
of three consecutive years, then must take one year
of leave before having the opportunity to rejoin for
another three years.
-
A pledge to commit skills and significant effort to
support this important community organization.
-
An effort to consistently attend board meetings, which
will occur 4-6 times per year.
-
An agreement, if asked, to participate on at least
one committee and consistently attend the meetings
of that committee.
-
Acknowledgement that the sustained and long-term success
of our organization requires significant financial
support through direct donations or solicitation of
financial support from others in the community. A
board member will commit to a “Give or Get”
policy for $5,000 annually.
-
An agreement to support fundraising efforts by CPA’s
staff by making introductions or, potentially, hosting
a lunch or dinner meeting with your contacts in the
community.
-
Agreement to be recognized in CPA communications as
a Board member.
Members
of the Board of Directors receive two VIP Season Passes
to CPA events.
